Virginia Water and the Valley Garden attract visitors in their thousands every year. They come to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Royal lake and its surroundings. Yet few perhaps know much of its past, of the wealth of its wildlife or variety of its trees, shrubs and flowers. The lake was created in the 18th century and this book is the story of the lake and garden. Raymond South come to Windsor in 1930 as senior history master at the Grammer School, a post he held until retirement in 1968, when he was deputy head. 80 pages.
