Sorry, not asking for anything but IF any member or former member of the Methodist Church is still around you might just remember me as the Minister.  It was a very long time ago but I send my greetings to the present membership.

I was born & brought up in VW between 1944 & 1958, when we moved to Pooley Green. I am now married & live in Ferndown Area of East Dorset. I went to Christchurch Primary School from 1949 to 1956/7, with Miss Emily Hooker as head mistriss. I also attended the Christchurch Church, where I belonged in the Choir. I remember having my name added to the plaque in the main classroom upon going to TS Mercury in 1958. I am in touch with a couple of old school chums, but welcome more interest.

Can anyone remember the nissan hut village off Christchurch Road in the early 50's? I had a friend who lived there. The huts were split in two with a family at each end. I lived in a proper house and would have given anything to have had their life. My Mother couldn't understand. It seemed such an exciting way to live. I had no idea they were poor and awaiting housing after the war. So far I have found no records to back this up. It would be Wentworth Estate now. I would love anyone to email me with any memories they have on this.

Does anyone know the location of Lowood (Low Wood or Low-Wood perhaps?) House? My Grandfather owned the property during the last War (Maj D E Dixon, Grenadier Guards) and my father was born there in 1943. I lived in Sunninghill for a year but was never able to locate it - can anyone help? Thanks
